Elizabeth W. Fox is a senior associate in the Securities
and Insurance Practices groups at Berger & Montague. She
concentrates her practice on class action litigation
concerning securities fraud and other kinds of fraud and bad
faith.
Ms. Fox has worked on numerous class actions that have achieved
significant benefits on behalf of the Class. She has
also worked on four merger/going private injunctions.
Before joining Berger & Montague, Ms. Fox was a partner at
Hoyle, Morris & Kerr where she focused on toxic torts and
insurance coverage litigation. Upon graduation from law
school, she joined Ballard Spahr where she practiced
employment law and general commercial litigation and defended
asbestos personal injury cases.
Before attending law school, Ms. Fox taught history and
social studies at the Baldwin School where she became Head of the
History Department.

- Oorbeek v. FPL Group, Inc. (S.D. Fla.) (corporate
derivative action brought on behalf of the shareholders of a public
utility, in which plaintiffs recovered a substantial cash amount,
and improvements in FPL's corporate governance structure);
- Eagle International Services, Inc. v. Uni-Marts, LC,
(C.P. Luzerne county, PA) (class action by store owners in which
owners recovered significant cash amounts and received numerous
favorable changes in their contracts with defendant
Uni-Marts.);
- American Business Financial Services Noteholders
Litig. (Noteholders received a settlement of $16.7 million
including amounts contributed by officers and directors);
- Adams Golf
Securities Litigation (case settled for $16 million when
it was ready for trial, after a successful appeal to the Third
Circuit Court of Appeals).
