Case Status: Settled

Court: United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania

Berger Montague served as Co-Lead Counsel and obtained a $103.9 million cash settlement on behalf of a nationwide class of consumers who purchased CertainTeed Fiber Cement WeatherBoard Siding for a home or structure. Led by Chairman Emeritus, H. Laddie Montague, Jr. and current Executive Shareholder, Shanon J. Carson, who were both appointed by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to co-lead this multi-district litigation, the plaintiffs alleged that CertainTeed’s fiber cement siding was defective in that it was prone to premature cracking, gaping, warping, and peeling away from the structure on which it was installed, despite being warranted and represented to last for 50 years.

If you have suffered economic losses or personal injuries as a result of any defective product, please contact Shanon J. Carson of Berger Montague.
